I loved the speed, performance (and price) of the new Mac Mini with the M1 chip, but needed a few more connections more and don't want to pay the exorbitant premium that Apple charges for additional storage. This dock is perfect for the mini and has all the extra ports I need. Plus, the built-in SSD bay allowed me to unobtrusively add a 1TB SSD for a fraction of the price it would take to upgrade the Mini to this level. The Mac was off, but I had no issues with that. Everything shuts down easily when I need to turn the Mini off and restarts with no issues when I turn it back on.
