These micrometers will get the job done, but if you have ever used a Starrett or Mitatoyo micrometer you will immediately feel the difference. The movement of the barrel leaves a lot to be desired, but they will retain their accuracy. The barrel lock can also be slightly improved, sometimes it tends to lock itself. Another issue I had was the locking screws, one of which fell out after a few uses so check your screws before using. A wooden box is a good idea, although the closures aren't the best. But overall you get what you pay for a set of microns and after 25 years in this space I see no reason to rate them a 2 for preference on feel. I could buy ten of these sets at the price of others.
