Review on Whitmor Over The Door πŸ‘  Shoe Rack - White, Holds 24 Pairs by Mike Krzywicki

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for low heels, ballerinas, tennis

This shoe rack is pretty good. Assembly was relatively quick and easy, and the finished product seems solid enough. While I'm happy with the product overall, especially given the low price, I have a few concerns. Problem 1: Resin side frames. Even without filling the basket, the weight causes a slight deformation at the top (Fig. 1). If I owned my condo rather than renting it out I would definitely use the included tabs on each section to screw this unit to the wall rather than hanging over the door. Problem 2: Width. My shoes range from women's size 9WW to 10M and 3 pairs don't quite fit side by side on each tier (photo 2). However, with my everyday ballerinas, I positioned each pair sole to sole so that up to 4 pairs fit per step. Problem 3: Height per level. Most of my heels are low to medium, none taller than 2.5 inches, and they fit well without getting in the way of the shoe one level below (Photo 3). However, higher heels cause shoe problems on the level below. Also, wedges, ankle boots, and shoe boxes have a snug fit (Photos 4 and 5), while regular, higher profile boots and shoe boxes do not. Overall a good shoe rack that suits my needs.
