Lint magnet in kitchen and dining room

Apron without packaging looked good. A few loose threads at the seams. The two metal buckles were slightly discolored (looks like corrosion - the color of rust) where the metal bars were cut off to make the buckles. I washed them once and put them on the next day in the kitchen where I work. After a few hours I took it off as it was a mess. It was a super lint magnet and the little splatters of sauce and food residue wouldn't wipe or wash away. Usually with a little squirt of soup or something like that I can squirt some water liberally on the fabric and at least the look gets better. But not with this apron. I washed the apron 3 more times (all in cold water and on the gentle cycle) hoping this would somehow improve the quality of the fabric. The corrosion on the buckles doesn't seem to be getting worse. Unfortunately, the seams that create the separation in the chest pocket have partially pulled the pocket up, so part of the pocket is no longer divided (and it looks like it will stay that way until all those seams are pulled out). I kept wearing the apron to work, took it off after a few hours due to its poor appearance, mainly because it was still a super lint magnet and also because I couldn't get some food and liquids out of the cloth Disappointing. 2/10 stars would be generous. The fabric seems strong enough to be used as an apron where appearance isn't important (assuming seam defects don't propagate into critical areas). However, seam pull-out is a major issue for durability. A lint magnet is very bad for a commercial kitchen that uses standard terry towels. This would be less of an issue for a home cook or restaurant using less fluffy towels.
