Initially, the catchy texture is too big for maps. You almost have to take them out of your wallet. But after a few uses it becomes something of a resistor, very useful indeed. The clasp is excellent, nothing pulls and does not jam. It's very thin in the pocket, don't know how they made it. I don't see any animal products. Looks very durable and attractive. Would recommend if you are looking for a great zip wallet.
