These earring backs are better than I expected! They are big enough to be grabbed and manipulated to attach the earrings. I've included photos of many ways I can use them. Tired of paying crazy prices for gold spins that keep failing. They are great for hairpins, hoop earrings and pendants. I have a pair (pictured) of diamond earrings with a safety back. One of them is too tight. I can put the silicone back in and then close the fuse. The silicone back cushions my ear from pressure. I have a pair of wide, small-diameter tires (photo) that have spirited grip. I have the option to insert the stylus, add the silicone backing and then close the latch, or I can put the backing behind the latch. In any case, my earring is protected against loss. I looked at several designs and sizes. These are the best for my needs. Also, I didn't need 200 spins. In the second photo I have a small plastic button case (it appears to be from earbuds). This is perfect for keeping as the backs come in a small plastic bag in a small gift box. I haven't tried the jewelry cleaning cloth, but that's a nice bonus.
