I was a little skeptical about purchasing this clock for my son but I had to do something. Neither his alarm clock nor his cell phone combined would make a dent in getting him up in the morning. Wow what a difference! This clock is great! It comes with this vibrating puck that you put under your pillow that vibrates your head when it’s time to get up. The alarm on the clock is very loud and the light it gives off is very bright. My sons bed is wood and when we first got the clock, we stuck the vibrating puck up against the wood and the frame. This was actually too aggressive as the puck vibrates quite vigorously and created one heck of a sound. He sleeps with it under his pillow and now he has no problem waking up! I highly recommend this clock!
