I'm very happy with this - bought this in place of matte cat litter and it works great. This will catch the filler when the cats jump out of the box and the filler falls between the textured pattern. The filler is immediately removed with a vacuum cleaner. I read so many reviews about the carpet being out of shape and difficult to straighten, so I took extra steps to straighten it. Luckily it came rolled and not rolled. I placed a mat on the bottom of the tub with 2 inches of hot, hot water. After 15 minutes I drained the water and added another 2 inches of hot water. After another 15 minutes I drained the bath, grabbed a towel and took it to the garage where it dried for exactly a day. The problem is solved. It definitely has an odor that I was able to get rid of by spraying it with pet enzyme. I sprayed it a few times a day until I could smell it upon entering the room. Hope this helps someone.
