I love these scissors. The blades hold them great, so if you're cutting out an appliqué or whatever, they'll securely hold what you're cutting. Straight blade scissors also can't hold what you're cutting. For example, if you try to cut a circle with straight-blade scissors, the fabric may move toward you, and when you're done cutting you'll find that you didn't cut it as accurately as you thought. However, these scissors will give you a nice clean cut if you follow your cutting line. Scissors are a bit more expensive, but they will be the last pair you buy (unless you lose them or they get legs and go away, which sometimes happens).
