When used with an external timer, I don't like the standard mode.
I have an outdoor timer that I use to turn all the lights on and off at the same time. When I connect this snowflake string to my timer, it flashes by default, which I don't want. I had to operate a separate extension for this chain of lights. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the brightness, color (bright white), etc.
