The beauty of this humidifier is certainly skin deep. IMPORTANT: While I prioritize the pros over the cons because that is the case, the cons far outweigh the pros. We had never heard of Lacidoll, a Japanese company, but decided to give it a try. Pros: 1) The device is more attractive than the average humidifier. 2) It is tall enough to stand on the floor. 3) It has a large capacity (8 liters or 2.1 gallons). 4) It is relatively strong and stable. 5) Just add water and clean. 6) It comes with a remote control. Cons: 1) Not cheap. 2) We needed a humidifier that would increase the humidity in the bedroom to at least 60% on the advice of our optician, but with this device the humidity rarely reaches 50% and usually around 45% even when set. open to the maximum and 24 hours a day. 3) The electronics fail after approx. 6 months. Among other annoyances, the device will go through timer settings most of the time it's on, emit constant annoying beeps, and often won't turn back on until you've disconnected and reconnected. 4) Don't even think about getting support from Lacidoll. Conclusion: don't buy it. Even at half price it wouldn't be worth the money.
