Review on Tripp Lite Black Surge Protector Power Strip with 7 Outlets, 7ft Cord, Right Angle Plug, TAA Compliant, and $75,000 Insurance Coverage (Model: SUPER7BTAA) by Tim Beardsley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The clamping voltage is incorrectly listed on the Triplite website.

Triplite claims on its website that the voltage rating per UL 1449 3rd Edition is 330V. The actual voltage rating on the product label itself is 400V. Pros: It's TAA certified, which means what does it mean was probably not assembled by child slaves. It is rated UL1449 (3rd Edition), meaning it will not catch fire and meets the level of surge protection stated on its label. Cons: Triplite lies on their website about their nominal level of protection. Trilite says on their website I would give it four or five stars because at around ten dollars that would be a decent value. But there are many UL certified 400V surge protectors available at this price point or better.
