This litter is ideal for kittens and/or cats in cages. I often take cats to the local shelter and some of them have bad attitudes so they stay in a cage (for safety reasons) until they are socialized. Some are sick and need medication and frequent toilet changes. These bowls are not too big and not too small. The plastic was easy to clean and stayed shiny - like it had some kind of coating. I bought three, should have bought a dozen! Good price! They look exactly like the picture and have a maximum fill line printed on the inside. They measure 13"L x 9.75"W x 3.5"H.
