I originally bought this headset about 2.5 years ago and was blown away by the crystal clear sound. The volume control was starting to bother me, so I started looking for a new headset. I've tried a few other brands, from cheap no-brands to high-end headsets, and I've always had a muted, not-so-crystal-clear sound, so I've reverted to what I thought was the original Hyperx Cloud -Model. And these aren't the original Hyperx clouds, something has changed. The cable itself is different, the volume control is different and no additional ear pads were supplied like the original Clouds. The tone is muted, but it seems to me that they all seem that way. I do not know
