Like the other reviewer I had two identical entry ends (no cap) but that wasn't a problem for me. I have an AP300 air pump (suitable for 300 gallons of deep water) so what the heck I just hooked up the inlet line on each side! I was excited to make a little wavy design for my bubble curtain and watch my fish play with it. I lit it expecting lots of air bubbles from both ends. I. About 10 inches on each end bubbled up like crazy. The other 20 inches are in the middle. hardly a trickle and then nothing at all in the middle. I thought ok it's not designed to let air in at both ends so I attached my own plug to one end. the same, with bubbles at both ends and a nada in the middle. I was very excited to try these over foot long air stones but unfortunately I think my search continues. I'll be back.
