I bought it to replace the regular floppy disk that comes with the pen. The disc that came with my Jot Pro would skip recording if not enough pressure was applied to it during recording. I was given these replacement parts to experiment with. They have what appears to be a small copper cup to provide a better connection between the ball and the plate, while the standard washer doesn't. I applied a thin layer of Arctic Silver #5 thermal grease to the tip of the pen. (Run the tip of the pen along the top of the tube of paste just enough so that the ball ends up looking gray instead of metallic). I'm not sure if it was pasta or a copper mug or both, but the difference between the pin before and after is ridiculous. This puts my Windows interface on par with my cheap Waccom Bambo, apart from the thinner dot and digitizer pressure sensitivity, of course. It definitely should be. Too bad the pens don't come with one of these discs to begin with.
