First I'd like a foreword saying I've tested this for an hour at the time of writing, but will update in 30 days. This is my first Razor headset as I avoided it due to the build quality, but this headset won me over. I had pro wireless to test. - Good build quality and the metal hinges are very tight, some had loose hinges, I didn't. - Comfort comparable to my arctis 7 2019 with brainwavz. I will modify them too. However, the ear pads are suitable for most people. The quality of the microphone is very good, maybe the best I've heard from a wireless device, but that also leads to a small minus, which I'll address below. Razor Synapse is good, I jumped in and installed av eq and then tested the gaming preset which turned out to be good too. Very good setup here, I need an adjustable EQ before I buy one. Battery life is TBD, but it's very loud and advertises 20+ hours. No problem if it's silent on pc and ps5. - Clarity is excellent and thank you very much for my purposes. Cons - the audio isn't clipped (distorted) until I amplify it first, but that's really not necessary. On the PS5, if I maxed out the USB but left it at 90%, the audio would cut off and it should be fine. The mic is huge, cardioid, and it's quite big, but it's very good quality. dialed once with synapse. - no thx on ps5 but 3d sound works fine. On PC this is a very high quality sound as it can reproduce really good 28kHz frequencies and is close to hifi. - no USB C, just micro USB, just a minor issue aside from what this headset does. - Only works on Xbox when wired, but the 3.5mm cable provided by Razor is a good braided L cable. - The volume knob is huge, but its aesthetic fits best. Overall: If you have the money to spend just over 100 I would get this if you mainly use PC/PS5. This headset outperforms a 3D wireless headset and is better than my 2019 Arctis 7 for my use case. This also works in wired mode, but I haven't tested it on Xbox. I will update after 30 days of use. Razor has created an exceptional headset here that will sit somewhere between the Arctis 7 and my daily driver. By the way, I have big ears, and it's still expensive for me and very comfortable. Update 02/04: Battery life, sound and comfort are still great. It sounds great on my X series with unrelated DTS audio. The drivers are somewhat broken in and the battery life is between 24 and 25 hours at around 65% volume. They sound as loud as my A50 gen3. The build quality should be good as I don't see any weak points for my use and treat it with care and keep it on my headset holder. It's still 5 stars for me. Update 03/09/2021: The Blackshark V2 Pro still works perfectly and I've used it on my Series X (wired), PS5 (wired and wireless) and PC (wired and wireless). . The battery life is between 23 and 24 hours as the volume is kept at around 70%. The mic was fine when used on all platforms and the comfort after it broke is only surpassed by my Arctis 7, both of which are close to comfort. Nothing broke, the assembly holds up very well. I will say that changing the ear pads is a pain, but other than that this is a very good headset.
