I had high hopes that this bowl would replace several of the ceramic bowls I used. Firstly, this is not a German production. The inscription printed on the metal base of the bowl and on the cheap cardboard appears to be of Asian origin. However, the country of origin (in English) is not specified anywhere, which is strange. No, the bowl doesn't keep the foam or brush warm for the rest of the shave, even after properly warming it up with the hottest tap water, which is a rather disappointing result. The inner surface is matte, which is better than some polished metal bowls, but not enough to easily generate enough foam. The volume of the bowl is about right, but like a metal bowl, it makes a little noise when the brush handle hits it. A slightly wider and shallower shell with raised ribs on the bottom would be a definite improvement. The bowl fits comfortably in the hand, is quite light and never gets uncomfortably hot. The appearance is also matte and the appearance is quite attractive. No, I don't recommend it.
