After six years of use and despite routine cleaning (once every 4-5 months), mold began to grow in the handle of the irrigator that I had purchased in 2022. As a result, I had to purchase another irrigator that was identical to the first one. The water pressure in the older model is significantly higher than that of the newer model, but for the time being, I do not consider this to be a significant point of comparison. This is due to the fact that, two years ago, when I went to the hygienist, I was given the advice to use the irrigator without "fanaticism" (and by that time I was using the irrigator at full capacity). I turn the power down to half and use only the turbine setting on the nozzle. This effectively removes plaque and tartar from the teeth (after filling the water tank to its maximum capacity and waiting ten seconds, the debris that has been soaked in water will fly out of the teeth) and massages the gums. In addition, the braces are washed thoroughly (dentists have noted that the teeth are cleaned exceptionally well), but I must stress once more the need of using the impeller mode. This device is not appropriate for people who are used to being subjected to significant pressure.
