I had the opportunity to put it on the table when rolling out the dough. I didn't need two but it came in a pack of two and cost the same as one. I saved the second one for the future. They appear to be thin and I was surprised when I opened the package but as soon as I threw it on the counter I fell in love. It stuck by its own friction and the "stickiness" of the silicone and held in place perfectly. The dough didn't stick to it (although I also dusted the surface with flour) and the dough rolled out perfectly. I washed the rug in the sink and pinned it to dry, then rolled it up and put it in a drawer with cling film and parchment paper. This really is exactly what I wanted!
