We ordered a year ago and it was fine. We ordered a second one this year and it's different because the voltage is WRONG VOLTAGE. What arrived was only 220-240v 50hz Europe although it was shipped from somewhere in Kentucky. Who doesn't pay attention? Why would anyone in Kentucky stock only Europe/Africa/Asia voltage and frequency DVD players in a US warehouse and why ship them to a US address? Almost all electronics plugged into electrical outlets use switching power supplies, which work automatically in North America (120V, 60Hz) and the rest of the world (220-240V, 50Hz or 100V, 50Hz in Japan). Plug it in and the power supply adjusts. Which Luddite company still makes devices with a certain voltage/frequency rating? And why would a warehouse in North America, where everything runs on 120V 60Hz, stock and ship products labeled 220-240V 50Hz to addresses in North America? THERE IS NOTHING IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION THAT THIS APPLIANCE IS ONLY 220-240V 50Hz! This is misleading and dangerous. Had it been plugged into 120v 60hz it would probably have set itself on fire and possibly burned the house down in the process! Most consumers don't understand voltage and frequency issues, don't read the fine print or the labels, especially since the power cord has a 120V NEMA US plug that plugs directly into a US outlet. Enjoy settling the grievances of those you sold one of those that set their house on fire. IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU FOR A FULL REFUND.
