I converted a cable spool into a semi-portable welding table. The rollers would have lifted it too high so I opted for roller bearings as any smaller size on the rollers wouldn't support the weight when I put the 1/2 year plate on top. I use it in a 2 car garage so I won't be moving it more than a few feet at a time. Either way, these roller bearings actually work well upside down and under load as long as you want to distribute the weight evenly. I use the leveling feet to raise the entire table off the floor when moving it to where I need it. My stock spends very little time actually touching the ground and supporting weight.
