update: the company quickly sent a new one which works great (forgot to update until now!) I bought it as a gift at the end of November 2017. But for the last 6 months it has worked great. Lately the open function has gotten a bit finicky - so if I press the up button it works, but if I press the down button it does nothing. While I don't expect it to last forever, it would be great if it could run more than 6 months without errors. It was a really great product, popular at dinner parties, but was a little disappointing when it started failing during a product demo (they tried to open a bottle of wine and it didn't work). Maybe I just got a bad one as overall the reviews seem great.
