I put off buying a waffle maker for a long time because I didn't want to "multitask" in the kitchen. I try to choose my purchases carefully because I don't want a mess. The reason I wanted a waffle maker in the first place is because I wanted to make waffles for my family ahead of time so we could cut out processed packaged foods. Frozen waffles were a quick and easy breakfast for my family, but I wanted to avoid the expense and additives and preservatives found in industrially made products. I've had this waffle maker for a few months now and I'm very, very happy with it. I bought the refurbished version and it didn't have the plastic clips mentioned in some other reviews. It appears to be snapped together very well with metal clips and I don't see any weak points that could break in the future. It's easy to clean and store, and we use it several times a week for pressed sandwiches, pancakes (the pan heats evenly, works better for pancakes than my cast iron pan) and of course, waffles. I LOVE IT!
