I've had a Dyson v8 vacuum for about 3.5 years and I'm ashamed to say I've never replaced it. filters before. I've cleaned mine before but it has an odor that will never go away. This filter change works well. It appears to be the same as the original Dyson filter. The only difference I can tell is that the purple hue is slightly different. So if this kind of aesthetic bothers you, be aware. But I don't mind and I'm glad I got this replacement filter kit! Great price too.
