Used in a 'cloak' configuration on our 13 lb cat to avoid scratching the scab around his neck . Worked fine initially but he kept licking the collar making it slightly wet but still bearable. He looked so cute and was mad at us. Then he soaked it in drinking water and it got really gross so we took it off, washed it and threw it in the dryer. It may have shrunk a bit - or maybe it was because it was a little tighter the next time I used it in a cone configuration. That's when the shortcomings of the absorbent material for the cat's belly became obvious. Between the water bowl and the litter box, I don't know if it's better described as a wet litter box or a litter-rimmed martini glass. So maybe better for a small dog than a cat. at least no problem with a wet shovel!
