I have had this lamp for a few months now. So I was willing to give this lamp 4 stars. The reason I thought is that the design is great but the light is a bit dim. It's USB powered, and yes, the cord is a little short, but not excessively so. On the plus side, the flashlight itself is very adaptable thanks to its ultra-flexible neck and light weight, plus a clip (I strapped mine to the windowsill next to my desk in my home office). But I thought it really wasn't bright enough. The brightness is adjustable and for some reason I thought I would use it to its fullest potential. Before I wrote this review I made sure. I must have turned the brightness down sometimes about a month ago and forgot. So yes, brightness is fine. Great lamp and only $15.
