I was looking at chain scrubbers for cleaning cast iron and decided on these or round chains. I chose this because I want to be able to get most of the scrubber in my hand to use it and the flat scrubbers would clench in my fist leaving little room to wash on the outside. The silicone stick tried to poke the hole so I used some smaller double rings to close it. If you simply spray it with soap to clean it or throw it in the dishwasher, you don't have to remove the silicone bar. The extra scrapers come in handy for my cast iron pans, which I use a lot.
