Fix it and worry no more
I've been using FastGun for a little over a year. I post them once a year (it takes me about 1-2 minutes to attach). From now on it is fastened (insert the hook into the eyelet) and snaps into place (pull the lever down). Constant tension is maintained by an internal spring. Every time I stop during a ride, a quick glance at the turnbuckle will tell me if I need to adjust the tension (I never had to). This is a first class product.
