I bought this to record with. And I think it will do a wonderful job. But the other reason I bought it was so I could embrace my audiophilia with a top-of-the-line Soundblaster card, and I've trusted creative people with my sound choices since I was a child. AND IT SOUNDS AMAZING. TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS! Read the manual, or as my father called it when others asked him about their technical problems, RTFM. Most of the problems I can attribute to others are probably due to not following the instructions. Even if you're above them, follow my simple guide.1. Disable the integrated sound card. Yes, the ones that can only be turned off in the BIOS, yes, turn them off. You may be required to read a different manual.2. Download the latest drivers from Creative's website, install the Audigy 5/rx drivers. I assure you that they work with all platforms INCLUDING WINDOWS 10!3. Install all drivers, COMPLETE INSTALLATION. I didn't notice any malware, so just install it completely.4. MAKE SURE it is selected as the primary output device and that your speakers or headset are connected to the correct port. Beyond these simple instructions. I can't be of more help than for someone
