Review on ⚡ Eaton BRNSURGE Whole-Panel Circuit Breaker Surge Protective Device - Type BR by Jessie Ritchie

This is new from Eaton for BR panels. It installs easily and as a note, don't worry about trimming the pigtail. I only made this mistake to find it shorter than I would have liked. (Was easy to fix but not something I wanted to go through.) I'm replacing my old one because one of the lights went out and while I was in the switch box I installed an AFCI/GFCI switch for our three bedrooms/bathrooms I thought installing this device is a good idea as the old one worked for 12 years. Looking at the specs of this verse, statistically the old one is slightly better than the old BRNSURGE. It also has a light that shows if you have protection or not and I see that as a plus, and it's SPD 2 compatible too, whereas the old one didn't claim to be as I've seen it. Although I believe this would fill the bill, this is an older part. Keep in mind that this does not replace the need to protect your devices (TVs, computers, etc.) from surges, it is only the first line of defense. Independent surge protectors/surge arresters are still a good idea. For example, AC power can cause dips and spikes in current flow, and this happens after the protection it provides.
