I ordered a Shining Silver case for my new MacBook Air and I love it! Check first, ask later. Review: I wanted something with style but not something over the top with bright colors or graphics that I would get bored of in a month or two. And I got exactly what I wanted with this case! I ordered the shiny silver variant since the laptop is already silver. not beyond measure. The shine does not crumble and does not crumble. Think of it like glitter gel nail polish! The Teflon-like texture offers excellent protection and the shine is great. It also helps that the laptop doesn't feel slippery when you carry it around. The rubberized keyboard cover is also silver, just slides over the keyboard and magically stays in place. I use it now and then when I'm eating or drinking wine on my laptop. The lid simply snaps onto the top and bottom of the laptop and fits snugly; two separate parts. None of the parts of the lid will open or feel loose. What I like most is that the top and bottom covers are coated in a silver sheen. Most other glitter options have a solid black cap at the bottom, which I don't really like. All in all 5 stars! I highly recommend this purchase! If I get tired of the silver color I will definitely buy another color option. Question: I love this cover, but I have a question from a buyer who would like to hear feedback from the seller or another buyer. To be the thinker that I am. So the lid is solid and thick, not too heavy but of course adds a bit of weight to the lid of the laptop which gives extra protection. Major advantage! Have other customers experienced (or are they concerned) that the weight of the lid loosens the laptop lid hinge? If so then I plan to only use the bag when traveling with a laptop and not all the time. Thanks for the answer!
