I received this part for a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic SLT. This part is not too difficult to install. First make sure your truck is in 2WD as that is how the new engine will be delivered. Then simply lower the front driveshaft and pull it out, disconnect and pull out the old transfer case motor, transfer the reusable gasket from the old to the new (if your truck has one) and then reassemble . The work took about 45 minutes. Make sure you know what motor your truck's geared motor has as there are 3 different motors that look the same until you take them out of the truck. The difference is that this one has a square hole with a small notch, many have round ones. The motor fitted perfectly and it worked right away. I checked all settings 2wd hi, 4wd hi and 4wd low. Everything went very well and the changeover was very quick. I would definitely recommend this part but make sure it is what your truck needs.
