Review on Nice Clean Lens Wipes Count by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's ok, not great, for the price and that's something to be aware of.

Wipes glasses and optics clean Good, not so good, we've had better results and solutions from several other manufacturers and sources. The price was reasonable compared to many options on the market at the time of our purchase in July 2020, so reasonable. Our problem with them, and this is a big problem for us, is that they are NOT chemically safe. They do NOT seem to be IF they claim they are. This means that when we clean glasses or goggles and put them back on the face/head, any residue that can touch the eyes or get in the eyes is very painful because they're presumably using some kind of harsh chemical to get rid of it to clean the surfaces. When it comes to ammonia or alcohol, my family considers these to be hazardous to health, requiring careful use and supervision of children accessing or using them. I cleaned my glasses the first time I used them, put the glasses back on my face/head and over time if the glasses slipped off and touched my high cheeks or the surface of my face the chemical would get on my eyelid and into it my eye, which turned out to be very painful. Lots of eye drops/artificial tears and wipes later and I was fine but it's a major annoyance when on the go (mobile) or anyway! We will not be buying this brand/style again. As much as we could at home, we again used very mild dish soap (no added chemicals, dyes or fragrances), warm water and a dry cloth to clean the lenses for regular eyewear cleaning. This can also be normal with a camera lens. Again, the print on the side of the product is so small we can't read it, but it must contain one or more fairly harsh chemicals like ammonia or alcohol, or both, so take extra care with your eyes, skin, and all Plastic around lenses (cameras, eye gasses, etc.) you intend to use them on.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
