Not for the pear shaped body type.
I bought this to wear to an event but sent it back and got something different. I have large hips, thighs and buttocks, a small waist and a smaller torso (pear shape). I bought the size I needed to properly fit my legs and buttocks which resulted in the top being too large. . This style suggests a roomy top half anyway and makes everything look like a sloppy sack of potatoes. It made me look extremely wide. Not flattering at all. I don't recommend this for women who have a larger lower body than their upper body, but I believe it will be very flattering for those who want to camouflage a large bust or stomach. If you have more top and skinny legs then I say go for it.
