Just today the film mounted. half done I see reviews saying it's difficult to install. This is not our experience today. You just need a little planning. Takes two people. Wash the windows, trim the film to fit each window (leave about 1/4 inch on the sides), attach small strips of tape on each side at the corners to separate the window film from the protective film separate. You need a double tab in a corner (like an iPad splash screen). Don't forget to fold back a small piece at each end of the band so you have something to put on). Lightly spray the window with soapy water, one person holds the film and the other person removes the protective film and throws it away. While person #1 holds the window film, person #2 lightly sprays the non-tacky side of the film. This will help smooth out water bubbles. Put both by the window. Since the pane and film are wet, they can be smoothed out easily. You can remove it from the window and move it if necessary. Once you're in place, use something to smooth out the bubbles. As a scraper we use a 6-7" plastic trowel/seam trowel. Smooth out any blisters/water on all four sides, wipe as needed. Ready. We live in a historic house with original window glass (not safety glass) which is very fragile and subject to breakage breaks very badly. We have two tropical storms/hurricanes coming our way and we're putting a film on the glass so if the window does break it doesn't break all over. Fingers crossed that we don't find out how well this works !
