I bought this scale because I was looking for a scale that would fit in a large 8" wide mixing bowl while I was weighing my bread ingredients. From that point of view he did a good job. The problem is that the weight jumps around a lot when you measure it, and sometimes you have to weigh things twice to be sure the scale is recording the weight correctly. Also, when using the tare function, there is no instant return to zero. When you press tare, the display flashes several times before going back to zero, and more often than not I have to press tare more than once before it actually goes back to zero. Finally, the scale is very sensitive to leveling (if you have an uneven surface, you can have even more problems with the scale). It generally works, but for a well-known brand like Taylor and at a higher price point, I'm not sure if it's value for money. This one might come back. I have a KD-8000, which I really like, but it's too small for a large mixing bowl.
