Overall I am satisfied with the purchase. The product description is correct. This is a large stainless steel machine. It has 10 metal trays and a drip tray. On the top is a digital display of temperature and time. It contained a recipe book and instruction manual, as well as a registration card. To get silicone mats, you must register for a lifetime guarantee. ADVANTAGES: This dehydrator offers a lot of space. It is very large, be sure to take dimensions and controls into account when ordering. With controls on the top and back, ample space is required, no more than what you need for airflow, but knowing where the controls are can make a difference. This isn't a machine meant to be put in and out frequently, so it's worth finding a dedicated spot, especially if you store groceries the same way we do. He gets dehydrated very quickly. I've always used one of the round plastic models with the motor underneath. It took me 6 to 8 hours to dehydrate the scallions in one of them, this machine took 1 hour for the veggies, 2 hours to finish the white onions. Several racks of halved grape tomatoes were cooked in less than 6 hours. The recipe book contains great recipes. I have a new granddaughter so I'm looking forward to melting yogurt when she's older. The recipe book is certainly a direct translation, measured in grams, and includes the pork strips recipe, but we appreciate the extras. The grates, tray and bottom of the machine are fairly easy to clean, nothing has dried so far, I couldn't get off. The engine itself is very quiet. I used a digital thermometer to test the accuracy of the temperature sensor and the settings are very close to the readings I got. It varied up to 4° depending on where I tested the device, but I don't feel like it affects my results. CONS: I really have nothing to complain about, just a few things to note. However, my biggest downside would be no fan speed control. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. The fan circulates the air fairly quickly, which is great for drying meat, tomatoes, and other dense, high-moisture foods, but I have to be careful when putting herbs in the machine as the fan tends to blow the herbs around the dryer to blow around . in as soon as they are dry. The temperature sensor has no Fahrenheit setting. This is 30°-90°C in 5° increments. It's okay, I printed out the conversion chart and put it next to my car. As mentioned above, cleaning is easy. The only downside is that some of the edges in the door frame are a bit sharp, I didn't cut myself but I'm careful. You need to make sure you use a drip tray, there is only one wire shelf separating the pan area from the back of the machine where the motor and fan are if you have had wet food on the shelves such as fried potatoes. B. Meat that could drip the marinade. , it could easily spread behind the grille and you couldn't get at it without taking things apart. Which of course will void your warranty. Spills don't endanger moving parts, you just can't easily clean the floor. As said, the motor is quiet, however this is a metal machine with all metal parts and a metal fan. The vibration of the motor/fan causes some vibration of the whole unit. My first few uses required some dexterity to keep the case from vibrating loudly, but once I figure that out I forget it's running, the motor is so quiet. If they become dehydrated, remove any unused stands to keep them from vibrating in the machine during use. I have attached a video of the cleaning cycle they recommend. It's the loudest car ever built, all the shelves inside are empty and we haven't leveled the floor yet, so it's a little louder than normal, and that's still not bad. With very thin fan blades, I can see where some people are voicing their opinions. The fan was stuck/bent upon arrival. The case appears to come apart easily and I would suggest this is a quick fix if you aren't worried about your warranty.
