Strawberry peeler is one of those seemingly silly little things that turns out great and works really well. I cut a lot of strawberries, here at NOLA we get our North Louisiana strawberries in February and then again in the fall. I can't buy enough, I freeze them, I make strawberry shortcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry jam. I once saw a program on TV that featured an artisan jam maker and she used a peeler. The ease with which she could peel and the relatively uncut strawberries convinced me I needed them. And I'm glad I bought it! It's sturdy, the serrated teeth and rounded scoop peel strawberry after strawberry with ease, and the handle is comfortable so I can sit at the table, pop in some bluegrass, and peel without cramping or hand fatigue. If, like me, you think that's dumb and that a knife is fine, do yourself a favor and try a potato peeler. That's great
