Upon adding a third battery to my battery bank I was getting an overamperage warning from my battery console. The battery would not turn off. After contacting support they said disconnect from battery bank and try again. Battery gave the same overcharge amperage warning. Battery was very very warm to the touch and had an acrid electrical smell to it. FedEx would not take the battery for shipment due to it obviously being damaged. However Renogy support insisted I should package it up and just try to send it again. I refused to do this as I did not want to be responsible for shipping a dangerous good knowingly. Renogycs support them threatened that I would be charged for both shipping and return service if they seemed the battery was bad. Revain would not do anything as Renogy is a third party seller. Beware, there is a reason these are only 600 dollars and others are 1000. Out of 5 Renogy batteries I have 4 of them have been defective. I have since switched to Battleborn and get longer run times and have not had a single issue with their quality. Upon testing the Renogy batteries I have found the actual amp hour to be closer to 75 or 80. Definitely NOT the 100 claimed.
