Difficult to apply handle

I don't know if it has to do with tape or solvent, but I've never had to use as much force as I have with this one. I used another tape, got a little better, but still not very good. In general, if the inside of the handle and the strap are sufficiently lubricated with solvent, the handle will slide very easily. Definitely something different. I used Winn Dry Tec grips which I have used before with no problems.
