Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel Leather Edition (XBOX Series X/S, XOne & Windows) by Minas Chase

Unreliable, too many hardware failures

2nd servo base failed. This one was within two months of purchase and minimal use. When it works, it's a lot of fun. if it works. I originally bought the TX to use with Forza/PCars games and the first one worked for a while but died after a few months. It took me a while to get back to it, so I bought a second servo. Same result. This one was hardly broken in. Connected to the race, the wheels are calibrated, the mode lamp flashed a couple of times, and that's it. Judging by doing some research, the downside of this device is the power adapter. Now I have to go through the torturous warranty process and decide whether I should just go with the G920 and cut my losses, or go with the Fanatec, which I initially argued about. If you're contemplating which rig to get, stay away from this one unless you like headaches or want to play at 10% FFB, which defeats any reason to buy this model in the first place.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad
