Review on 🔌 Netgear R8000-100PAS Nighthawk X6 AC Wireless Router, Black - 802.11A/B/G/n/AC Desktop by Ryan Mosqueda

I bought a modem and router from another competitor for the first time a few weeks ago. Shortly after this purchase I had consistently low internet/wifi speeds. An xFinity technician came to my house to troubleshoot and found that the problem was either with a newly purchased router or modem (or both). He couldn't determine what was causing my problems. I asked him to plug an xFinity 1GB modem into my line as a troubleshooting step, and suddenly I got the speed I was supposed to be getting (I'm paying for a 250Mbps internet plan). Anyway, the speed dropped again as soon as he connected his modem to my router. I went ahead and sent both items back. This time I chose Netgear for modem and router. I chose a Netgear R8000 tri-band router. Since we have up to 18 devices connected to our network at the same time, three of which are HDTV streaming from different types of streaming devices, I found it useful to have an extra 5G channel that this particular router outputs. As soon as I connected my new Netgear modem and router, I instantly hit over 289 Mbps! That's almost 40Mbps more than what I'm paying for, so I'm very happy with it. I found the Netgear router's interface to be very simple and easy to use. It's actually very easy as I'm tech savvy and pretty good at networking. I had no trouble finding this router's advanced features and utilizing its FTP client and cloud storage capabilities. I haven't tried this router's VPN service yet and I don't need to use parental controls so I can't enable their verification, but both seem easy. All in all, I'm glad I had issues with the first piece of hardware I bought because I ended up with a much better modem and router!
