Review on No Tox Life Dish Washing Block Soap - Zero Waste, Dye-Free, Fragrance-Free by Kassandra Harris

I'm trying to eliminate plastic from my life and want to turn it into dishwasher detergent. I was hesitant to write a review in hopes that other people could master this soap to make it work for them, but I have to be honest. For the record, I'm a professional (sustainable) cleaner and work in restoration at a museum, so my problem is not being able to fix cleaning issues. I've tried scalding with hot water, washing multiple times, hand drying, etc. This soap is very difficult to work with. A white film is guaranteed to remain and washing greasy plastic is pointless. The lather isn't impressive as it turns into an oily consistency that leaves a film. The most annoying thing is that this soap only lasted me a month and a half. I'm conservative on using cleaners, but you really need to load up a sponge (or other tool) for this to do anything. I'm sad to write this product review with clearly good intentions, but I must continue my quest for a plastic-free dishwashing liquid.
