Although I didn't buy it through Revain, which didn't even exist when I bought it, They have served me well and continue to serve me. My job bought it for me in 1979 when I was 19 and have used it almost every day since. They are reliable and accurate when I travel with them in a toolbox that has been smashed and thrown away by porters at airports around the world. They have never been damaged and are among those tools that are very well made after years of mishandling, dropping, use as a scriber for layout work and so on. I would recommend them to anyone who is traveling for business and needs them. A pair of digital calipers will never survive the perils of travel. I know I lost a pair of expensive Starrett digital calipers the first time I traveled with them. The only problem I have now is that my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be and sometimes it's difficult to read lines.
