Review on VANAUX Auxiliary Compatible Smartphone Headphone by Kay Daniels

Strong thick cable although the real wires inside are cheap.

Lots of bad reviews should be obvious to people. This cable's jacket is much thicker than a regular cable, which causes some people to complain about the weight. It's not really a disadvantage because that weight gives you the hull. Problems like a loose cable are solely due to the weight of the cable when connected vertically. The cable itself actually snaps firmly in place and is better than many other cables. I have a complaint. When I bought this cable I was hoping that the actual wires inside would be larger and individually shielded and the audio wires would NOT be copper. I'm assuming they're aluminum and that's not good for the normal gauge wire you find in any audio cable. The shielding and protection around these wires is amazing, although the braided jacket is almost impossible to cut. razor. The blue case underneath is nice and thick, it offers crush resistance, and the RF shielding feels a little more solid than usual. The audio cables are also covered in fairly thick plastic. If you want a cable that is easy to repair, then this cable is a big deal. The ends are screwed, but use soft plastic to protect the connections. This plastic doesn't allow you to unscrew the ends without damaging them, even with the help of heat. The plastic feels like soft high density polyethylene and I usually hope that if this product is for maintenance they use something like hot glue or silicone instead so you can remove it without damaging the ends. In general, I'm a big fan of the protection around the cable, but I feel cheated by the use of aluminum for the audio cables, as well as the small diameter of the cable, while a larger diameter would be expected given that the product positions itself as durable and the Cable construction looks like it has been serviced. In fact, this is not the case on any level except the surface.
