This is an automatic charger and repair device. If you come across a situation where your battery is low (less than 4V charge) it will not do you any good. You must start over and charge the battery to the point where it can be used with this device. For battery maintenance that is rarely used, or for times like mine when I only take short trips, it's fine if you plug it in while the battery is already in good condition. Management is tiny but honest. I wish it was listed multiple times in the instructions. All you have to do is plug it in and hope for the best. Overall this is a good charger and is great for keeping a good battery going rather than restoring a dead one.
