Not a great customer experience with Roku. First I ordered Premiere Plus. I didn't get it when I ordered it, but there's no separate audio out, only HDMI (which shouldn't have been a problem). I set up surround sound for audio so I tried to connect using the HDMI ports on my receiver. For some reason, Roku didn't work when connected through the receiver. It worked when plugged directly into the TV, but I'm not a fan of TV audio. After several painful conversations with their tech support I was essentially told to return Premiere + buy an Ultra that has a separate audio port (optical). So I ordered an Ultra, set everything up correctly, and then encountered a screen flickering issue. Since I'm connected via ethernet, it can't be a wifi issue. I haven't checked the receiver for video (audio only) so this can't be a problem. After another painful conversation with Roku's tech support where they couldn't identify the problem and offered ridiculous fixes like replacing the HDMI cable or even the TV, I decided to return my second Roku device this week and the company to end. . I reconnected my Sony Blu-ray player that supports streaming and it works fine. It's quite disappointing that a device whose only job is to stream content can't do it successfully.
