It facilitates the cleaning of silver and does not smell in the house. It says to put water on the silver piece but I cleaned the glass and silver chandelier so I poured some water on the napkin and it worked great. Washed off, a small white film formed on the badge, which can easily be wiped off with a cloth. When I finished cleaning the chandelier, I wiped down several bowls and trays with the same cloth. These are small napkins but they make a big difference. I will definitely stock this item.
