I was wary of holding my phone to the car vent with a magnet, but it's surprisingly strong! I didn't want to remove the back of the magnet either, so I just taped the magnet between the phone and its case (also a Spigen!). It didn't budge, and even when driving over rocky terrain or huge potholes, my phone is still attached to the mount! I was also concerned that the effectiveness of the magnet would decrease since I have a popsocket on my phone. strong. But with a little extra planning I was able to work around that (I moved the popsocket down a bit to leave some room for the magnet). Since it's so much easier to mount my phone this way, I've resorted to just taking the mount with me when I'm riding with someone else so I can quickly set up my phone (in case I need to navigate or just don't bother when I'm using the phone charge on the go). I think I need to get more mounts!
